The Township of McNab/Braeside lies between the towns of Arnprior and Renfrew, and is a 30-minute drive to Kanata in the City of Ottawa. The newly expanded four-lane Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 417) runs directly through the centre of the township, providing easy access north to Pembroke and beyond and south to Ottawa.

Council has taken number of bold measures to attract and retain business by:

• updating the Official Plan and wrapping it under the County umbrella, which will help enhance the planning experience.
• improving our processes and procedures to help accelerate planning & development applications.
• engaging in a marketing and branding exercise to highlight the Township’s strengths and attractions, which include:
  • a highly educated work force, with above-average income
  • easy access to Pembroke and Ottawa
  • high-speed bandwith available in most parts of the township
  • industrial park facilities
